Dana Murphy-Parker 

 

Dana is a clinical nurse specialist board certified by the American Nurses Association in psychiatric/mental health nursing.

She has been a nursing professional for over 24 years. Ms. Murphy-Parker holds a MS in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver.

She is currently the Coordinator of the Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Wyoming Fay W Whitney School of Nursing in Laramie, Wyoming.
 
In 2004, Ms Murphy-Parker was recognized by the International Nurses Society on Addictions as the “Nurse Educator of the Year in Addictions Nursing".

Ms. Murphy-Parker also is a lead coordinator of The International Network of Nurses (“TINN”) Interested in Alcohol, Tobacco, and Drug Abuse – a network working within the International Council of Nurses (ICN) to raise the awareness of nurses’ roles in reducing the harms associated with global public health problems associated with alcohol, tobacco and drug misuse.
